I was born and raised in Kyrgyz Republic, where I acquired my medical degree. Upon completion of my residency in Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, I joined a twenty-doctor out-patient clinic and worked in close collaboration with family practitioners.
It was a new and exciting era for Kyrgyzstan’s medicine healthcare system when family physicians became the front-line care providers; this experience improved my understanding of Family medicine.
When my family and I immigrated to Canada I decided to go through the examination for Certification of The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada to become a family doctor although many people tried to discourage me and recommended to find another carreer.
After taking all of the required exams I was accepted to the Family Medicine Residency at the UBC/St. Paul Hospital, which I graduated in 2013.
My passion is a preventive medicine with an ultimate goal to develop a healthy life style everyone involved to encourage mutually rewarding, long-lasting relationships.
I believe my medical background, and enthusiasm will make an excellent avenue for me to contribute to the development of Foothills Medical Clinic which will feel like a second home to many.
